Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has prevented the All Progressives Party from making use of the the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar for reception of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP defectees.
According
to a report by Daily Trust, the stadium was billed to host the grand
reception of former members of the Peoples Democratic Party, who had
defect to the APC but was held by the authorities of the stadium, who
claimed a PDP rally had been scheduled to hold at the venue on the same
day.
It should be noted that Governor Ayade contested and won the election to run the affairs of the state under the PDP.
A
source in the stadium said, 'The APC members were told to look for an
alternative venue, because a PDP Youth rally is billed for the venue.'
