4 years after, Don Jazzy’s biggest fear haunts him again

In 2012 when Don Jazzy and D’banj parted ways due to ‘irreconcilable differences’, the Mavin boss told those who cared to listen that his biggest fear was leaving his comfort zone (Nigeria and Africa), while D’banj embraced international fame with the deal with Kanye West‘s G.O.O.D Music label.

Don Jazzy damned the consequences and chose to remain in his comfort zone while D’banj pursued international fame.
Fast forward to 2016, Don Jazzy is faced with a similar situation as his ‘Biggest Fear‘ is back to haunt him.
The biggest act under Mavin Records is Tiwa Savage and she’s gladly embracing her international fame, with her recent deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation.

Since she signed the deal, she’s had to stay in the United States for more than three months to cement her rising international profile, and Don Jazzy has had to stay with her for well over a month.
Pundits tell TheNETng that ‘Don Jazzy has obviously realised that things are rapidly changing and the world is getting connected daily. At least he’s big on social media and he knows the benefits so he has no choice this time around’.

Though Don Jazzy insists that Tiwa’s deal with Roc Nation is merely a management deal as she remains signed to Mavin, and with the growing ‘Africa To The World‘ movement, he may begin to realise that he should have pioneered the movement four years ago with D’banj.
